But for us, it's not only a mission trip, but also food culinary tour.

I always want to try exotic food like worm, ants, rats, grasshopper etc. So far I have eaten monkey, turtle, ant eater, snake, horse, kangaroo, crocodile, deer, shark, frog, boar, etc. So when I'm in Cambodia, it's a good opportunity to try their famous exotic food. Surprisingly it's delicious and tasty. I hope you enjoy seeing it like I enjoy eating it. ^ ^

PS: I wrote this notes below on 23rd April 2006, and some of them already done! ^ ^

30 THINGS U HAVE 2 EAT B4 U DIE... \(-.....-)/ (ALREADY EATEN)

Foie Gras

Pork Filling Ravioli with truffle Sauce

'Melted-in-mouth' Thailand Dried-Durian

Pesto + my secret marinated chicken chunk Spaghetti

My 'Can't resist fusion' hand-rolled sushi and Edamame

Chocolate Fondue

Chocolate Pasta with Tomato Sauce

My secret 14 ingredients of Salsa

Squid-ink Pasta with Cream Sauce

Oyster with lime/tabasco/thousand island, Japanese Abalone Soup + Matsutake Mushroom

Bouillabaisse with Huge Lobster

Italian-Japanese Tiramisu without Lady Finger Sponge, much of Kahlua=)

My Mom's Sayur Asam, Fried Chicken and Sambal Terasi, Dark Soy Sc.Pork, Sauteed Mushroom with Chinese Leek, Petai Fried Rice, Char Siu,Sweet Pork Satay,Fried Pork Ball, Corn Fritter, Steamed Sticky Rice with Sambal and Dried Shrimp+Shreded Fresh Coconut, Petai+Shrimp Sambal Balado

My Dad's Rendang, Cap Cay,Marinated Beef with Black Coconut

My own Black Pepper Beef Tenderloin, Spicy Chilli Eggplant, Cheese+Bacon Bits Baked Potato, Mushroom Soup, Japanese Curry Pork/Beef, Opor Ayam, Shrimp-Paste Kangkoong, Pad Thai, Thom Yam Goong, Malaysian Char Kwe Teow, Shrimp-Paste Chilli, Pandan Chiffon Cake, 'Secret Veggie and Fruits juice'

Paella

Egyptian Rice

Chinese Noodle/Japanese Ramen/Udon

My fave : Persimmon Fruit and Sunkist Orange,Kiwi Fruit, Dragon Fruit, Strawberry, Granny-Smith Apple, Durian

Truffle Mushroom,Enoki Mushroom,Fried Button Mushroom, Fungi Pizza with lots of cheese21. I judged it by appeareance and presentation. Not saying that I can't eat casual-messy-presentation-food, but I always appreciate anything that done by details. All of those always intrigue my mind about how much efforts being made, how much expectation from the creator to entertain others or how much talent has been shown.

After all, the taste of the food definetely will balance my judgement. Not forgetting the extra mile service and smile that sometimes had to make me readjust the final points. Like when I visited St.Regis Singapore for french buffet. It's really an artistic food galore over there!

Brasserie Les Saveurs, helmed by Chef Frédéric Colin surely offered me with all the things I mention above. Beautifully displayed with wide variety of grade A quality of appetizers, main courses and desserts. Not forget to mention how busy the waiters approached you with their freshly made items from the kitchen and served them on your table.

Art is a beatiful thing that can touch my soul. And beautiful things always inspire me to create another beautiful art. For me food is my art and inspiration.Yuli Mariahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13069479368866114815noreply@blogger.com1
